How to correct the three-jaw chuck?

1、Check for wear: Carefully check the wear of the chuck parts, including claws and chutes.

2、Clean chuck parts: Use professional cleaners or solvents to clean chuck parts to ensure that no impurities remain.

3、Adjusting the position of the chuck claws: Adjust the bolts or nuts to match the position of the claws and keep the distance between the claws consistent.

4、Cutting the round part: hold the round rod with the appropriate diameter with the external clamp, start the machine tool, and turn the round part of the claw.

5、Cutting the inner circle: Use the inner support to clamp a ring, start the machine, turn the inner circle and end of the claw.

6、Pre-processing into taper: The inner circle of the claw is pre-processed into a horn with a certain taper in the opposite direction (large inside and small outside) to eliminate the horn phenomenon.

7、Use high-precision instrument calibration: Use high-precision instrument calibration, by adjusting the Angle of the chuck, rotation speed and other parameters, improve positioning accuracy and work efficiency.

8、Regular maintenance and maintenance: regularly check the wear of chuck parts, lubricating oil use, etc., timely maintenance and replacement.

  • Tool selection: It is recommended to use carbide tools for cutting and correction.

  • Feed amount and cutting amount: the feed amount and cutting amount should be small when correcting, and the cutting speed should not be too high.
