Vertical Compound Grinding Machine


A CNC grinding machine uses a rotating grinding wheel to remove small amounts of material from a workpiece. They are, first and foremost, finishing machines. In the case of round work, a machinist often removes significant amounts of material using a lathe before transferring the part to a cylindrical grinding machine for the finishing operation.

CNC grinding is primarily about taking off small amounts of metal with a high-speed abrasive rotating wheel acting as the cutting tool. The grinding wheel rotates in place while the part is fastened to the machine and moves in the X-, Y-, or Z-axis. Although these movements depend on the part’s shape and size, the grinding wheel usually requires multiple passes to get the correct finished dimension.

VM, VHM, DVM series high-precision CNC vertical composite grinding machines are vertical composite grinding machines with full closed-loop digital control independently designed and developed by the Company. The grinding machines have a vertical layout and double-column structure. High-precision liquid hydrostatic rotary table is air-tight and wear-free and may realize longer service life and accuracy retention time.

Working Environment and Processing Capacity

 

 Processing capacity:

 
  • Suitable for I.D., O.D. and end face grinding of heavy, non-circular workpieces.
  • Heavy workpieces can be fixed on the fixture by hanging.
  • Free combination of single spindle, double spindle, tool changer or no tool changer.
  • Easy clamping operation may significantly reduce the preparation time for loading, unloading, alignment etc.
  • No need of setting the processing site, automatic compensation of workpiece size, automatic compensation calculation of grinding wheel position compensation.
  • Double spindle models can be provided with high and low speed grinding wheels, or one vertical and one horizontal spindles.

This data was obtained in accordance with the measurement method specified by international standard ISO 230/2 (1988). The machine tool was set up based on the manufacturer's specified measurement procedure and operated in an ambient temperature of 22°C ±1°C.

The grinding wheel with maximum diameter of p 255 mm ( 305 mm) can be stored in the ATC unit. However, the size of adjacent toolshould be limited to A 180 mm or less.

Control Panel Interface

 
In terms of the control panel, the dialogue box on 15.6 inch touch screen ensures more efficient, user-friendly and easy systeml operations. In such user-friendly dialogue box mode, just enter the parameters so that the program automatically calculates the cross section parameters of the grinding wheel. Perform one key touch to generate the program for automatic calculation of the machining path and automatic dressing of the grinding wheel. On the operation interface we can see the processing path and operate in a morel concise and convenient manner.
